E-mail about PC Protection Plus
Anyone else receive this? It looks like a scam to me.

It says, "You currently have an active membership with PC Protection Plus, ... As a reminder, the next billing date for your $6.00 membership fee is 1/1/2003. Your VISA account ending in xxxx will be billed on or after this date. ..."
I do not have a VISA account ending in xxxx! About the only place I use this e-mail address is with TT and TT people.

There is a link, which I will not touch, and a telephone number starting with 1-888- to cancel. It say, "Otherwise you will be billed."

There is a 1-800 number as well.

I have never given out a VISA number with this identification and have never requested such a service. (Maybe I need it.)

I suspect that they want me to contact them, so that they can give me a sales pitch or try to get an actual account number. So, did anyone else receive one of these e-mails. Thanks.

Haven't seen that one yet, but it does look like a scam. I'd just delete it.

This sounds like the scam that you call the number to complain and it is a number in the bahamas where they can gouge you on your phone bill legally.
