Anyone want Donuts and coffee on Saturday? Delivery to the trailhead is available at no charge....our treat. I guess what I really wanna know is: If I bring them, will you all eat them?”

“That is if I am not frozen to death, I will eat and drink anything. If I am frozen, just poor the coffee on me directly...thank you.”

“Sorry guys, I won't make it to camp tonight at all. Too many things to take care of at home.

Wolfeyes - hope to see you tomorrow morning!”

“WE - I tried to email you back, but it got bounced back. My event might cancel this afternoon, so if it does, I will be there around 4-5. If not, I'll be there around 6-7. I think it looks like there is only one campground there at Proud Lake. I'll be driving my Green Dodge Ram Van. Look for Jack Torance with the beer in his hand, that'll be me.

Tarabull - Binra still coming?”

“I guess I will start heading that way around five or so then. I'll wait for you to set up...be in my warm car waiting...maroon Corolla:)”

Camping (car camping... oh the horror) was great. ltwt, Q, wolfeyes and I had a blast.

The dayhike was awesome. Snow on the ground. Sunny skies. Beautiful day all around. Man, I love this season!”

Sorry I couldn't make it out today. Actually, I very well could have (and would have liked to with the gorgeous weather) if not for the fact that I'm still not quite bipedal. It's actually getting me quite frustrated especially after going to REI on Thursday and trying out a few tents and packs. Hopefully I'll know in the next few weeks whether I'll need surgery or not......See you Wednesday (remember, bring the kids!) ;P”

This was fun. Ended up being about a 10 mile hike with lots of up and down. I'm going to sleep very well tonight.

One thing made it even better - the Bobs! - welcome to the crew. You are both awesome hikers. It was a pleasure to share the trail with you today.

“Good to see you out there, WE. It was purty cold! Had a great time at the dayhike, amazing that I don't feel as bad today as I thought I would be. The double Advil suggestion from Sass paid off. “woundedknee - sorry you couldn't make it. might have been a good thing, though. it was quite icy out. my bottom met the ice at the end of the hike, and i kinda hurt my back.
