This weekend

“Just wanted to let you know I survived the weekend in TN. The chalet was more than a shelter! LOL Hubby Von Grumpy was a trooper and hiked/walked with me on Roan Mtn. (I think I will be fishing some this spring though and won't be allowed to say it is too cold!)
The wind gust were 40-50 mph and I can't even begin to tell you what the temperature...it was definetly an adventure for me..probably nothing for you vets..but it was fun. I will definetly go back in the spring!!!”

Nothing like a strong wind on a BPing trip. If you want wind, go hike in the White Mountains in New Hampshire!

It may seem like "adventure" cause your new at it but basicly walking in the woods toting a pack and camping is not "adventure".
Unless our for some reason having to escape extream danger or death. In 15 years of backpacking, caving, rock climbing, ect. I can't recall anything I'd consider "adventure".

“I like fishing..don't get me wrong..it is kinda funny. The spouse says that hiking is boring to him cause you can only see so much..I guess he just dosen't have the appreciation I do. I am forever seeing something new. As far as the fishing I get bored, especially if I'm not catching anything and I get tired of just "sitting there".”
