well, publication of my guide, "Hiking the Endless Mountains: Exploring the Wilderness of Northeast PA", is imminent and i received my personal copies from the publisher.

i will auction one away (with signature if desired) pursuant to the following rules:

1. interested parties shall place a bid for the guide. the amount of the bid shall be donated to a trail organization or conservancy of the partys own choosing.

2. when placing the bid, the party shall specify the amount and the name of the trail organization or conservancy he/she intends to donate too.

3. the party placing the bid stands by his/her word that the money specified in the bid will in fact be donated.

4. the party with the highest bid shall receive a copy of the guide, mailing and shipping costs paid by myself.

5. i reserve the right to add more guides open for bidding.

6. bidding will close 1/27/03, unless more guides are added, in which case the second highest and highest subsequent bids shall receive guides.

7. bidding starts at $5.00 US.

Since chili decided to use his usual gambit of inserting an invisible clause in his bid (see between the two commas in his post) I’d like to make a $5 bid, Keystone Trail Assoc.

Couples lifetime memebership to AHS, $853.00. The book is mine!!!

j/k...no way I'd give them $853.00. Not that I wouldn't like to, but I'd give it to the NCTA before the AHS, NCTA needs the $ worse.
