store it? i just never take it off, and just store myself! :p actualy, i just have it mostly in my dorm closet (about 3'x3') but its constantly in transition between my closet, my bed, and my trunk, so it gets stored somewhere along the way

I use a big rubbermaid bin for random stuff. My bag is in the closet, pad under the bed. Stoves and cooking gear being tested is in the laundry room along with the tents.

The tarp is pitched in the back yard right now. I come home each day and try a different pitch and see how it weathers the next day.

Packs, poles, pads, sleeping bags...hanging up in the garage.

All the other junk is stored in large plastic containers in the garage.

I've got about 25% of the walls in the garage covered with pegboard. Gotta luv that pegboard.

Speaking of garage...that's were I hide from the family. I've got a wife and two daughters that basically take, borrow, and steal all my belongings.

I had a 24X36 garage built next to my house and I have an office out there with TV, telephone, laptop, heater, desk, etc. Makes a great place to smoke cigars, drink, and hide from the girls. They are not allowed to enter the garage without my permission...haha. It's also a great place to make alcohol stoves and just generally goof off. Many a NASCAR race has been watched in that garage...memories...

I hang my sleeping bag in the bedroom and the rest goes in a tack trunk in the basement. Most of the stuff sacks contain core equipment. All I have to do is make minor adjustments to pack for a trip. I always keep a food bag in the pantry with non-perishable basics. Some of the good maps of major hikes will be framed for the family room. I'm going for the Lodge look. Books, catalogs and magazines regarding gear, technique and trails are littered throughout the house. Everytime I put them away in the book shelf, I want to research something.
