I don't get a stressed out as I did also, maybe the "I'm stressed out - I need a cig " thing was an excuse? I told my co-worker that I quit and I think a little bell went off in his head too. We'll see....”

“Yeah, the "I need a cig" or "I need a drink" things are more like movie myths or something. You'll get more of a calming effect by just taking a few deep breaths.

My Fiancee quit smoking after 25 years by using the patch. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but she would cut the patch in half when it was time to taper her dose. She cut that patch down until it was the size of a stamp! She hasn't had a smoke now in almost four years. Why does it seem that women have better willpower then men?”

“Keep quiting till it sticks. Even if you never quit completely, at least you've cut down. ;-)”
