Just an fyi....I will no longer be posting as "roach" anymore. Pulled that out of my arse when I first logged on here and never cared for it. Changed to something more my speed. Besides some mentioned it reminded them of an "illegal" substance and that's not good for the kiddies! thanks all.

Hey, you can't change your name. Pick one and stick with it. Don't be so wishy-washy! BTW, green is on par with roach.

im thinking jd stands for john deere...john deere green, i think they patented the color or something (i got a friend who's dad works for john deere, he's going out to thru-hike the AT this febuary)

as for kiddies? i think im one of the younger ones here (19), and, well, i can smell the dope wafting down the hall right now (im in the dorms) so i dont think a name is gonna matter much on anything :P

btw, thanks for the info about the red river gorge trip, looks like its gonna be around a 4 and a half hour trip for me (well, if i go the speed limit }:) )

My doctor's name: Belch
My dentist's name: Balch

At least until recently. My doctor got divorced and resumed her previous name. The dentist moved away.

I was crushed when pantscandy changed...that was such a great name!!

I could probably get a more interesting 'trailname' but after posting for years, methinks my friends wouldn't recognize me after the makeover.

I am partial to Johnny Poppers. My grandfather had two on the old farm, a model A and a model B. The B was 1930s vintage and the A 1940s. We could always tell where he was in the fields from the sound.

All this name changing is getting wearisome. I don't know who anybody is any more, except for Maple/Wild Flower/Potty Mouth. I think I'm still me though.

neglected!
I hardly ever get to post. I don't even feel like I'm playing second fiddle. Maybe a name change would help. Is there a union for neglected names?

That's it. Either I get to post more or I'll change my name to:

We just changed Artex's name to Crack Puppy, so this isn't too bad. Besides, my last girlfriend's last name is Roach. Now I won't have to be reminded of the thieving ^&$#@ anymore.

btw -what happened to that name you mentioned to me? Tihodi or something like that?

Speaking of illegal substances, I was at a gas station in Albuquerque this afternoon, and was hit up by a panhandler for some gas money. He mentioned he had his wife in the car, for whatever that was supposed to mean. I went about my business filling up, but smelled something funny. Looking around I saw that the little lady was tokin up right there in the car. Hubby went about panhandling, I left before he appeared to have scored enough for a tankful.

WKnee, Aunt Carol said she saw you and that she couldn't remember where we went to tell you. Yep. We went to Red River Gorge and met Jerbear there. That's my new favorite place to go. If only it weren't 400 miles away.

Yes. Basecamped, then drove to a couple scenic spots (like where isn't there a scenic spot there?) and also visited Natural Bridge SP and also Miquel's for pizza. Then on Sunday morning, Jerbear left. I took the boys on a dayhike on the Danile Boone hut trail. Got some great pictures which I will post as soon as I get my webshots account up. The kids did very well and are already asking when they can go back.
