Cool, clear and pretty windy, here.   I think I'll go for a hike at the lake and watch the whitecaps.

ugh. too much snow here. or maybe its the thinnish layer of ice hiding underneath the snow that i dont particularly like. yeaaahhh...probably that. took me an hour and a half to get to work today. normally a 30 minute drive. white knuckles and nauseous by the time i walked through the door!
it sure looks pretty but i could really do without!!!

Yup!  Right up to where it meets the air.

I did watch a stream freeze completely over one night in North Carolina.   Must've been about 15°F.

Looks like a Hobie Day out there right now.... But I'd still want a drysuit.

I was in North Asheville about an hour ago and it was blizzard like conditions. As I head south on 25 it started to taper off and by the time I got to the BRP it has stopped!!!!! It is snowing a bit now.

We got about 8 inches today - nice coating of ice clinging to everything now. Due to change back over to snow again soon.....hopefully.

Got nearly a foot today...a little bit of sleet mixed in for short periods and it's still snowing. Skied today in some fierce winds and powder. This winter is definitely a better start than last winter. I came home to clear the driveway and a neighbor's driveway. Oh yeah, had a couple of deer in the front yard. I wonder if there will be any of the bushes left by the spring.

Still snowing at Mt Rogers area. Been this way all day. Temp is 18. Drifts are 2 feet and I would guess the actual depth is 6 maybe 8 inches.

9 inches here in Michigan yesterday! ;-)

I got a chance to go snowshoeing a little bit with my mom & hubby in her front yard....

She loved it-- We bought my whole family (mom, dad, sis & bro) snowshoes last year, but ended up with a very non-snowy winter and RAIN over Christmas.

This year, however, it may be a very different story... :-) Dad would have tried it out, but he had been snow-blowing the driveway and decided to rest instead... :-)

I'm hoping they can get out and have a little fun with the snow shoes, since it's not as complicated as cross country skiing and they can do it just about anywhere... :-)

It was snowing like crazy while I was skiing today. We probably only got about 5-6" at home and another couple of inches forecast for overnight. I guess it's time to go and clear the driveway.

We don't have a foot on the ground in the valley yet (only 6-8 inches)...but the higher elevations are all loaded up.

Going out for the weekend to snowshoe and play in it. Can't wait. :)

After a week of temps in the 50's & 60's it's finally snowing again in the Adirondacks. Only 1-2" is predicted, so it's going to take a long time to build the snow pack back to what it was before this thaw. Come one Lake Effect.
