Been there done that, LZ. All that salty slush splashes up on your window and dries to an opaque white haze. I definitely don't miss that.

Roll out of bed and sit down in front of the laptop and I'm at work. Let it snow!

It has quit snowing in Townsend and is melting off. But there was plenty of snow in Wear's Valley and Cades Cove. NGB and I spent the morning sledding! Pics to follow.

I'm afraid to find out how much snow is at home. There was 16" on new snow when I left for work this morning and it has been snowing all day.

Oddly there was only about an inch of snow on the ground at work only 35 miles away from home.

We got some snow here in TN. Not much, but we made the best of it...we had to use almost all the snow in our yard to make this tiny snowman!

First snow of the year today. We get one foot of snow.

Q. What do you call an Arkansas redneck in a snow storm?

A. A tow truck, because his jacked up 4X4 is in the ditch.

Our snow is melting.

Everything is dry and we have fire bans in effect while the rivers are all at near flood stage due to snow melt.

our weather forecast calls for a chance of snow on Sat night. I'm expecting snow on Sat for my planned climb of Dragonstail couloir as well.

It's rained here the past two days and supposed to snow tonight. Okay with me, it's all moisture and nice to see the river up.

Anyone in the East want to trade me some snow for some heat? Cause we're getting snow/rain right now and it was 38* this morning.

Supposed to play at a golf tourney/BBQ this afternoon...that should be fun in this weather.

They had a bit of snow in the higher country here over the weekend too. Winter lingers long!

:)

It was in the low 40s and damp where we were climbing on Saturday. But it finally cleared off for us around noon.

The funny thing is, I bet you could still find some snow in the Adirondacks.

The last ski resort that was open closed on June 8 - Arapahoe Basin.

One could still go skiing in the backcountry though - likely all summer this year - if your brave enough. The couloirs are just now getting into really good condition and the Alpine Ice won't really form up good for another month.

It went from rain/snow to full snow storm. Ridiculous! It's even sticking to the ground. At least they canceled the Golf/BBQ thing. Maybe we can go sledding instead...

Hey LZ ~ my mom said they were under tornado watch in VT where she is ~ have you had those too?
