“LoL we gt snow all the time here in PA in April. Not so much in later April but till about the 15th it happens now and then. Back when I was in the Military I was stationed in Herlong CA up near Susanville CA. Its in the "high desert" I got some pictures of the snow(about 2-3") we got over night on MAY31-JUNE1 yup had snow on the ground JUNE 1 in the morning. It had all melted by noon as it got to about 65 that day. But all the 20+ years I lived in Buffalo NY I NEVER saw snow that late and the last place I expected to see snow on the ground in JUNE was in California in the Desert but it happened :).”

“I may be able to snowshoe and/or XC ski today and tomorrow, and for the rest of the season. :D My spot should get a foot out of the storm, the ground was frozen and had a couple of inches last weekend.

Occasional snow will continue to affect the Sangre De Cristo... Sandia
and Manzano Mountains as well as the northeast Highlands... northeast
plains and portions of the east Central Plains through the afternoon
and early evening. Snow is expected to diminish by Saturday evening.
For locations above 7500 feet and the northeast Highlands including
the Interstate 25 and 40 corridors... snow accumulations will total 5
to 9 inches. Locally greater amounts up to one foot could occur over
the mountain peaks. For the northeast plains... total accumulations of
3 to 5 inches remain possible... with some locally higher amounts of
up to 7 inches.

And it's some HEAVY snow, the neighbors huge spruce tree just fell over and the top is in our backyard. You can hear branches falling off trees all over the place.
