I'm actually toying around with the idea of sleeping out one night in the back yard. It will be colder than the recent MLK FYAO, and last years traditional FYAO out east. I just have to imagine that the gun shots and cop chases in the distance are just some critters getting` into my food bag, and I should be just like I'm in the back country!”

It's all good though -- better to not have too much snow down here in the city -- people can't drive in it for their lives around here. Up in the mountains though, its another story. There was about 8 inches of snow in southern Vermont last weekend, and NOAA is reporting about a foot of snow in the area of the Adirondacks at around the site of FYAO. Maybe Lake Ontario will add a little more to that before the trip in 3 weeks...

Alrighty here's info from the LaCrosse NWS bureau. I was in the 6-inch range. It varied quite a bit! Very fluffy stuff that should condense down to near nothing, I'm thinking. Ok, you have the town or village; inches of snow; time it was reported (after the snow was done!); and the GPS coordinates in case you want to geocache to FIND SNOW!!! LOL
