So I got out and walked thru the woods to investigate with da dogpie's....needing no artificial light..... and the wind is blowing these billowy clouds across the moon and it would get real dim then real bright and between the clouds you could see the stars...i made it down to the river and past the ruins (this humongous old oak that got zapped and exploded by lightening recently that has created a monument of sorts...right over my path..) without a light at all and didnt trip over any roots or cypress knees......there is some kind of wild party going on across the river...on a thursday!.....i wished my yak had been down there instead of back at the house...would have been so easy to slip it in and paddle around a bit, moon being almost directly overhead and lighting up the river.. i threw in a few hickory nuts to make some moon ripples ...then headed back...climbing around on the "ruins" ..lounging in a huge branch..looking up..with all the dynamics going...clouds, wind, changing light...whoa, could almost feel the planet rotating...or maybe it was the hornsby i was sipping ...:)...anyway.......weather is perfect for sleepin out on the roof.....maybe first bagnite of 2003.....aaaaaaooooo ooo ooo! check it out..... yo bare~~~~~~~~~~~~careful of moon burn there friend....” 10:42:05 PM 1/16/03 “I will protect em buns! Over the mountain, over the sea, back where my heart is longing to be. ... I considered one restaurant, but then drove a ways further to one owned by Chinese relatives. Shine On Harvest Moon Words by Jack Norworth Music by Nora Bayes-Norworth (1908) The sky was mighty dark so you could hardly see, For the Moon refused to shine. Couple sitting underneath a willow tree, For love they did pine, (Ouch! LOL) Little Maid was kinda 'fraid of darkness So she said, "I guess I'll go." Boy began to sigh, looked up at the sky Told the Moon his little tale of woe: "Oh, shine on, shine on Harvest Moon up in the sky. I ain't had no lovin' since January, February, June or July. Snowtime ain't no time to stay outdoors and spoon So shine on, shine on Harvest Moon - for me and my gal!" I can't see why a boy should sigh, When by his side is the girl he loves so true, All he has to say is: "Won't you be my bride, for I love you, Why should I be telling you this secret, When I know that you can guess?," Harvest Moon will smile, Shine on all the while, If the little girl should answer "Yes". "Oh, shine on, shine on Harvest Moon up in the sky. I ain't had no lovin' since January, February, June or July. Snowtime ain't no time to stay outdoors and spoon So shine on, shine on Harvest Moon - for me and my gal!"” 11:14:52 PM 1/17/03 “I will be howling at the moon Sat. night from my bivy. whoooo” 11:46:17 PM 1/17/03 “I see the moon and the moon sees me....
