basically take the trail shown doen to the falls and hang a right for about .3 or .4 more until you reach the campsite.”

“I did the Lost Cove Trail in February after a good rain. Expect a lot of water crossings where you will probably get wet unless you have a good pair of gaiters. I was using the short variety of gaiters and the water was usually higher than there reach.”

Can anyone tell me how far down the Blue Ridge Parkway I have to drive so I can come in on the southern part of the trail which is the closest to the campsite. i don't have the map in front of me and HOI's link didn't tell me which road I need to take in.”

I've never approached that trailhead from the BRP, but I'm pretty sure it's not a straight shot, so you need to be careful were to turn and not to turn.

currahee, the gas station down the street from me sells 1 gallon jugs of water for $ 1.70..I usually stop in there and get one, kind of a habit I have started for myself”

raining like mad here in NC...i closed the backhatch of the truck on my own head yesterday while organizing gear for the next few days and have a nice gash in the shape of a T on my forehead..at least it is not an L...heh....gonna mosey my way back to the the sunshine and river me thinks...
