How cruel people can be

I got a phone call the other day from what I thought was a friend..well this friend wanted to tell me that they thought I was biting off more than I can chew by hiking the Georgia section of the Appalachain Trail..almost 80 miles..I know it will hard..Ive hiked parts of it before..The whole idea behind this hike of mine is to challenge myself but not be overly confident..I know deep inside I can do this and I will do this..not to prove them wrong but to prove to myself I can push myself and the main reason..to get out and do what I enjoy, have a new adventure and to put all problems behind me.

Im not about to let someone try to shoot me down anymore..I lived with that for 17 years..done and over with..

Do me a favor everyone..Say something uplifting to those you care about..tell them you are proud of them and stand behind them in everything they do..If more people did that this world would be alot better off..

“Evergreen, 80 miles is very doable. Just hike at your own pace and you will get there. Carry a light tent or tarp so you will not HAVE to get to the next shelter.”
