Saying that, my husband has broken this rule himself a number of times, and made me very angry in the process. But he also isn't real stingy when I want to buy something. We both hate debt and try to pay our credit cards in full each month. So I think that Treebeard should let you have a decent tent, if it is possible to work together to come up with a way to pay for it.”

We work things like LyndyS said. The only time I can remember ever making a big purchase w/o Birch's agreement was 7 years ago when I bouht us a new bed. Every once in a while he rolls over and sighs and tells me how much he loves it, but when I bought it he flipped out.”

“mapleleaf - The MasterCard/Debit card is issued from our bank. It's ahs all the same prtections as a real credit card, including covering us in case the situation you mentioned happens. One time, when we were paying fer a lot of stuff (cash out of our checking account), they called us the same day and placed a hold on it, just to make sure that it wasn't stolen.”
