New Pack! “I found a rockin' deal on 2002 Dana Design packs and I've owned my old Dana pack since '98. So I go to sell my old pack to raise funds for the new one, that way I won't have to answer my wife's questions about why I need two packs. I found a buyer for my pack and ordered my new one, and as I get over the rush of actually getting a new pack I get all sentimental about the adventures I've been on with my old pack. DO you think I'll get over it when the newbie arrives?” 2:36:29 PM 1/23/03 “yes, and congrats on the new gear bro!” 2:37:24 PM 1/23/03 “Ive been wondering the same thing. I have a love/hate relationship with my pack.” 2:38:35 PM 1/23/03 “thanks on the congrats buddha bear.” 2:46:33 PM 1/23/03 Dana “Mine's a Dana Terraframe. Most excellent. Maybe not quite as stable as their internal but it's less sweaty on your back.” 2:51:36 PM 1/23/03 “Sweaty is good!” 2:53:02 PM 1/23/03 “I totally dug my other Dana (glacier), I don't know if I'd go to a different brand.” 2:54:18 PM 1/23/03 SO WHAT ARE YOU GETTING??? “You can't just bring up gear in a conversation and not mention the specific piece of gear you're talking about. lol” 3:22:03 PM 1/23/03 “I'm feeling exactly the same way right now. I've had my current pack since 1996. I have a new pack being made. The old pack treats me well still and it's been places with me. I don't think I'll (be able to) get rid of it. I'll keep it around for a spare, just in case a friend wants to come along or something.” 11:20:46 PM 1/23/03 “Sass - who's making your new pack?” 4:44:37 AM 1/24/03 Sorry Buddur! “I'm getting a Dana Design Glacier pack. It's volume is 5200 cu in, its an internal frame pack, top loader with some nice external pockets.” 8:08:15 AM 1/24/03 “Strick - I would say be happy with the times you had with it. I would hold on to it just incase this new one doesn't turn out to serve you well. Nothing wrong with keep ing two pack s round (this coming from a guy who has 4 hanging up in his gear room...)” 9:06:35 AM 1/24/03 BIG COOP “Ultralight Adventure Gear. =)” 10:37:43 AM 1/24/03 “MY fiancee has the Glacier and loves it. I thought it was a chick pack? Dana rocks. Maybe not the lightest but it will never fail you in the field. I've had mine (astralplane)for about 10 years and put a lot of miles on it. Though I though about lightening up, in the end, it's what I'm taking to South America for a year and wouldn't have it any other way.” 11:27:33 AM 1/24/03
