This won't work for some of you who insist I am some kind of jerk who wastes my time trolling. I waste enough time just being myself, Thanks Very Much. Anyway I graduated from highschool midterm this year. I'm 17 (will be 18 on April 2nd) and I work at Sears. I am trying to save up to buy a car and rent an appartment. I am a newbie on the trail so If I say somthing stupid I am sorry. I don't know anything about fancy gear or anything much about trails. Politics absolutely bores me so I won't have anything to say intellegently about that. I am Learning how to mountain bike with my best friend (It's like the blind leading the blind here.) and I am interested in trying all kinds of outdoor sports I have never tried before. I like to paint and I am working on my 3rd ever oil painting right now I think It will look pretty cool when its done. I am 5'2, kinda on the chubby side but not that bad, with short light brownish hair that I got permed a couple weeks ago. Is that all you need to know or do I need to say more?”

Welcome. I think I saw you mention you are from the Sac area. I live in Sac. If you'd like advice on good local day hikes or what not, feel free to ask -- just not me! heh heh. I at least might be able to point you in the right direction. And be sure to SEARCH THE THREADS on topics you are interested in, first. There's lots of info there...”

“Well, most everything is still under about 10 feet of snow and will be until May.

For day hikes below snow level, the Auburn State Rec Area is your best bet. There is lots of mountain biking to do there as well.
