did you hear about it?? boy, everything was either down or slow. I was online and nothing worked (thought my routers did it to my machines). abcnews.com and all the other big news sites have it posted. Don't they have nothing else to do then screw everything up?

Yep, I'm at work today, and it's messed up the support sites of a lot of our vendors.

HP/Compaq was completely unable to take service calls earlier today.

yupp, i worked last night until 1:30 and all at once...nothing. I think I lost around 100 emails, just wasn't able to retrive them or they probably have never made it.
that company that hostes my site got nasty phone calls from other clients (not me). It's been a mess. Surprised TT wasn't down. Or was it?

Computer worm, bacpac. It affected SQL databases across the world, bring a lot of web servers to their knees.

Gemini : "I want the truth!"

Buddha Bear : "You can't handle the truth! Girl, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Gemini? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for bacpac and you curse the backpacker.com. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that bacpac's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me there.
We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a woman who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd prefer you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a d!ck what you think you're entitled to!
"

Gemimi : Did you order the code red?

Buddha Bear : I did the job you sent me to do.

Gemini : Did you order the code red?

Buddha Bear : You're gawddam right I did!!

Who do you think you are Buddha Bear? How dare you impersonate me! You, and your pathetic attempt at humor have no place in my core. Don't get your panties all in a bunch though, I'll still be on that wall, defending that pathetic thing you call a life.

ARE WE CLEAR?!

Dear FBI,

BB is a pretty good guy. Please see to it that he does his time at a cushy Federal Pen in the South. I will see to it that he gets conjugal visits from the local Hooters girls at least once a month.

Sincerely,

Wow, chili36 is a nice provider! However, I think CMB has a name for that kind of person.

That will be a big step up in BB's life. Wow, every month.
