I put wheat germ on yogurt and cereal. Good little germ!

This morning it was Raisin Bran followed by Rice Krispy bars someone brought to work!

Chicken fried steak, hash browns, two eggs over easy, sour dough toast, coffee, and a tall glass of milk.

Wyoming breakfast.

At least after a long night of pool playing and whisky drinking.

Then it's Chinese for lunch.

Yeah, just don't tell my doctor.

You going skiing tomorrow? Sounds like it might rain.

So much for that season pass.

And...what's the deal? The Red Lodge website says it's 30 degrees, and weather.com say it's 48. Who's lying to who?

It's probably raining too!!!!!

Newgirl,

I'll trade ya' - my pesto recipe for your black bean lasagne recipe. Here it is:

Take a bunch (well, several bunches, actually) of basil, wash & dry it, then put the leaves in your food processor (I've heard blenders work, too). Add garlic, parmesan cheese, olive oil, water, and pine nuts while you blend/chop it up. Add more of one ingredient or the other until it tastes good. Eat by the spoon, put it on stuff, etc. The basil washing takes the most time; the chopping/blending takes about 5 minutes.

That's about it, really.

You can email me your recipe at martybeene@stanfordalumni.org or, better yet, just post it here for everyone to enjoy. We have a few friends who are vegetarian, so it's always nice to have interesting food to serve them. Brang it on!!

Chief, I can't go tommorrow but maybe Sunday. I heard they got 7 Feet of new snow lately in Cooke City. I don't think it made it to the Red Lodge side, tho.

It's about 42 here now so it could be 48 in Red Lodge.

Aero, how much of a snow load do you get on the cabin's roof and how often do you need to clear it off?

We get 3 feet up there sometimes but haven't had a problem yet. It slumps off there usually because it's so steep. We've had 5 feet on the deck and just have to start shoveling!

A friend of mine works for the highway dept. and he said the North Fork (50 miles from Cody) got about a foot. Pahaska only got about 6 inches. These two places are only about 3 miles apart.

It was 48 degrees at 7:00 am. Proabably won't go skiing, but I may take the girls sledding up towards Pahaska.

Hey Newgirl
My vegetarian guests have been sitting in my living room for 3 days, waiting for me to whip up that black bean lasagne - any E.T.A. on that recipe? Not sure I can hold them off much longer, heh heh....
