“There's seems to be more of an audience for the right wing shows. As much as I dislike everything about the ethics of Fox News, it is certainly a success. Rupert saw the gap in the market and is being rewarded for exploiting it.
What I do find alarming is that, apparently more on the right than on the left, there appears to be a large audience who only wants to hear things they agree with, rather than a wider perspective on what actually happens.

about him being wrong, or telling lies.....MANY MANY MANY liberals have tried to catch him lying and have found very few mistakes(they did a whole study on it several years back). just think of all the people who hate him. they all want to see him fall on his face. well, they have found him to be more accurate than even mainstream media(think NY times, LA times, CBS etc). look it up. just like the times, if you lie, you will loose listeners. you can't build an audience of 20,000,000 by spouting off a bunch of lies day after day. he makes errors, just like i do and you do, but not that many.

there is a huge incorrect assumption/lie/myth about limbaugh, which is this; all his listeners are stupid rednecks with no ability to think for themselves. that his listeners are robots hypmotized by......something. liek we can't think things through and decide for ourselves wether he's making sense or full of BS. the first time i ever heard him was by accident, and i was like.....yea, that's right! yeah, that's what i think too. it's that way for most of his listeners. ha backs up what they already think and provides alot of data that you'd never ever in a zillion years hear on the 'big media'. you're calling him a fanatic and a loudmouth lyer is just a way to get people to not listen to him. many of his most ardent critics have neven even heard his show. i gave 4 liberals his book and none of them read it. not one. have you read his books, dan? has anyone here? i doupt it....

and just who is it that you think tells him what to say? you really think bush calls him up everyday and tells him what subject to cover? geesh....i'd wager that it's the other way around, if anyhting. that they listen to him for advice. clinton even had his people monitor his program.

limbaugh is very astute. he knows how the political world works and very often predicts things that happen later.....

i don't always agree with him, either. it's almost impossible to find someone who agrees with your every thought.
