Since the President's Speech
I have listened to both local and national radio shows from the Conseratives and the Liberals. I have finally decided that both are full of crap.

It is amazing to me that both sides say they speak the truth while the other side doesn't. So both must be lying or stretching the truth.

Either side can come up with polls that agree with what they are saying but is there a poll out there that has no bias oneway or the other.

It seems that neither party actually looks at anything objectively and all they see is their side and no other.

Is there a independent radio station on the net that looks at the whole picture without the binders on.

Looking for a fresh and non-biased alternative, is there anything out there.

NPR only leans slightly one way or the other and the direction does change often. All things considered is my all time favorite Radio program.

i was just going to say that, Sassafras! i don't know if you're ever going to find anything that's totally unbiased, but NPR is great.

not since the lone ranger show, euker.

comes down to which side most closely matches your viewpoints. i like o'reilly, thomas sowell, walter williams, neil bortz, micheal savage, sean hannity, laura ingrahams...there's lots of good ones, but you're correct, they all have an agenda....

O'Reilly is a good news man. I disagree with his opinions often, and his style occasionally, but overall, he does well.

You would think an independent radio show would draw a large number of people from both parties and the independents also. I can imagine what the ratings would be. It would probably become the top rated talk show around.

yeah rosey...liberal listeners...but they couldn't pull it off without gubment funding

other than NPR, there are none on the air in this part of the world, euker. since radio is a free market industry, it stands to reason that liberal talk shows aren't very popular and they don't make money playing them. i have never heard the one you listed.

i would love to euk, but it's not on here. sometimes at night i can pick up stations far awawy and i'll catch something like that but it's not on here. we only have 3 real am stations. alan colmbs was on for awhile but all the advertisers pulled out cause ratings were a joke.

Actually Strat, check out NPR's annual report. They get 14% from the gov. and they have to compete with other groups like the NEA for that money, so it's not a done thing. The rest comes from donations. So they really are listener supported.

Nina Totenberg is most definitively left.

Some stations are user supported, but not around here. Almost all funding comes from tax dollars and corporations.

Here's how it works:
One party wants to give my money to the rich and the other party wants to give my money to the poor, and I keep voting for the wrong party. I want a party that has the platform, "What is Geobeet's is his; the rest of y'all can argue over the rest of it."

TALK RADIO sucks.IT is all about polarizing issues. Its sad some people choose it as their info source.Just wild,UNINFORMED opinions are offered. It's comical how stupid these old white guys are.Its also deliberate and planned not spontaneous. They polarize to get the ratings. Its the only way to get ratings since they cant do it by offering intelligent programming-that is way beyond their intellect and interest.

I just finished listening to "To the Point" with Warren Olney on NPR. Two opposing viewpoints, moderated, thoughtful questions, educated, insightful responses, no name-calling or ranting, posturing or rhetorical blather.

No wonder conservatives hate it; no "Diitos", chair throwing or chanting!
