tree,
I love NYC!
I will be down there sometime early in the season for a few games and then again mid summer and late in the season...
Only thing is the tickets are going like hot cakes since A-Rod signed....

Yeah, Tree, I agree. Here we have the entrenched right-wingers who think they have been ordained by God, and there you have the high-school drop-out provincialists who have never been anywhere but are convinced that everyone must be dying to live in their city.

Surely George can find a more expensive player than A-Rod! It kinda makes me ashamed that the payroll of the Yankmees shortstop and second base exceeds the entire Minnesota Twins franchise. What's wrong, Steiny losing his nerve?

Treebeard, it most certainly is. The place isn't what it used to be, but legendary nonetheless.

Go Red Sox!

Okay Peeps, here's the deal:

The Reading Phillies play the Trenton Thunder May 21, 22, and 23, a Friday, Saturday, Sunday series.

There oughta be some kind of campground nearby if anybody wants to make it a weekend camping/baseball trip.

This is the only meeting between the two teams during the entire season, since they're now in different divisions.

Who all is interested?

Ok, Geo. Let me think about those datyes and see if this is viable for us. I would like to do this. I will also get on the Yanks schedule and see what coming up. Being that we live so close, you guys can just crash with us, ok?

The other option would be to go to a game other than Trenton, which would take something away from the rivalry.

The SI Yanks play Batavia (Phillies farm team) on July 29, 30, and 31, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Their manager is Tommy Johns.

Now tree, you know I'd never do a thing like that. I was not the one who had to resort to low-down chicanery last summer.

So with her croaking and Angelos gone that leaves Steinbrenner #1...LOL

Rose inducted into Hall of Fame

The Phillies spring training facility is only 20 minutes from my house. :-)

I'm not going to that game, but will definitely be attending at least a few games this March. I have the Tigers, Phillies, Yankees, Cardinals, Blue Jays, and Devil Rays camps all within an hours drive. There might even be more, too many to keep track of!

Kane is the big freakin wrestler they say is Rose's nemisis, in that article about Rose....
A suplex is where the one dude picks up the other dude and their bodies are should to shoulder, head to head, with suplexie being on top and the suplexor standing on the ground. The suplexor holds the suplexie's body straight up parallel to himself and then the suplexor slowly falls backwards dropping the suplexie from about 10-15 feet. The suplexie crashes to the ground/mat in a thunderous way.
uuummmm....
Yes i guess it would hurt, but all that WWF cr@p is acting anyhow...LOL

HONEY!!
R.I.P Marge!

What can you say other than she was,,, old school. Sadly the rest of the world see's the bad stories about her and not the millions of other hearts she has touch with her kindness when it came to baseball, dogs, and charity,,lots of charity. She could have lived the 'big' life but chose not too. She really was down to earth. Our local zoo owes alot to her. She was all about the kids,,since she never had any of her own.

1$ dogs,,,3$ cheap seats and beer. She sat with the fans right behind 1st base line,,,how many owners can do that and still live? She brought the town a W.S.Championship ,,remember the SWEEP! She was a woman in a good ol'boys club.

Anybody got odds on the Mets vs. the Dodgers at the newly renamed
"Tradition Stadium" in Sunny Port St. Lucie Florida this Saturday?

I'll be there! I bet the Mets win by two runs. 10,000,000 bucks in renovations can't be wrong.

I read an article recently about the Angels new owner, Moreno.
He's cut prices for tickets, food, hats, etc. He made more money and drew more fans last year. I doubt Peter Angelos would ever cut prices here.

Rodger Cedano NY Mets the first batter of 2004.

Somehow I don’t think a Met will be the last batter of 2004.

Phillies injury report:

The Phillies are slowly getting back to normal injury-wise. Billy Wagner said his finger has improved and played catch for the second straight day. Meanwhile, Todd Pratt said his knee will be ready for the season and David Bell's back and right knee are feeling fine.

And, Padilla set the Yank-mes down 1-2-3 in the first.
