“I received a 'gearmail' from Moosejaw a couple of days ago advertizing their 'big sale'. So, I go to their site looking for a Marmot Precip jacket and all they have is a small in the anorak style. Very disappointing. I e-mail 'em back, castigating them for their crappy selection of sale items and I tell them that when they have a REAL bargain to email me. The next day, I get another e-mail from them thanking me for my response to their ad and oh, by the way, what size do I wear? I e-mail 'em back again and tell them that I would take any color in an XL, expecting that to be the end of it. This morning I get yet another e-mail from them informing me that they have one in my size! Only $79.20. I have searched high and low and have not come up with a better price than this. What service!!!”

the moosejaw by my house is great. the stuff is typically expensive (isn't all gear?) but the staff is excellent. they'll help you find anything. and they'll spend all sorts of time doing so. if you have a moosejaw by you (michigan and illinois, i believe), i suggest heading to it soon!”

“I got their catalog the other day as well. Wasn't really looking at the chicks though. I can see that their vendors fully funded the catalog as the gear is sectioned by maker. Great business idea. I've been doing more of my gear shopping there lately and they sponsor both AR groups I do stuff with. Helps that they have a store within a mile of my office! I'd like to see this company do well. If anyone gets a chance to check it out. Do so.”

I'm Princess Lael's publicist and she asked me to write you a personal e-mail thanking you for your gracious e-mail. She wanted me to tell you that when you're cutting out her pictures, please don't run with scissors. Safety is paramount around here at Moosejaw. Unfortunately, the Princess is out of locks, at least until her hair grows back which should be sometime around Fall. I'll check on the liner socks.

We had no idea that when we put the catalog together that we would be in the running for a Pulitzer. I made that up, sometimes moose exaggerate.
