I went to moosejaw.com just to browse and I found the brand new 2003 Gregory G pack for $119.00 normally a $150. This pack just came out to. I got free shipping because I bought a $10 moosejaw T-shirt as well. Man They have some deals over there. Thanks Father Goose for letting us know about their sale.

No, this is my pack when I go ultralight for longer trips. Man, this pack fits great also. Good supports.

Ewker- the trick is to get there early and stash a cooler at each campsite that way you don't have to hike it in with you.

bbinkley, looks like a winner. I purchased a Golite Trek last fall, but would have looked at this one had I known Gregory was coming out with it. I have a Gregory Shasta that I've used for years but bad knees have become a major concern, so have been trying to lighten up. Anxious to hear how it works for you.

Yes- Gregory packs have gotten great reviews from the people I know that have them. I've tried this one on at a local gear shop and love it.

I'm interested in what you carry. I think I'm somewhat of a lightweight proponent. I checked that pack out in the store and it doesn't look like more than a day pack. The go-lite (adventure?) pack looked huge compared to it.

yes it does have mesh pockets on the side and back..

also it is 3100 cu inches.

I have been backpacking for a 2 years with a daypack. When I was thinking of graduating into b'packing I bought a "big" daypack that's 2800 ci. It works fine. 3100ci will be huge. His even has a hip belt. Mine doesn't. I just got a Gearskin and are real anxious to try it out.

My shipment from moosejaw is scheduled to arrive on Friday. The order was placed just before lunchtime on Wed.

Wow, I'm surprised this pack is on sale because it's brand new.

Please give us your impressions after you use it. I love Gregory packs (I have a Reality and Whitney) and this would make a great lightweight summer pack.

I'll definitely be checking this one out. The Gregory Carbon Cassin has Got to Go! (8 lbs, 7500+ cu inches...) It looks like I can use the sidepockets and stash-n-dash pocket while I wean myself down to the 3100 cu range, <grin>.
