“Just FYI, a lot of the Backpacker staff, including Jon Dorn, reads the forum to get a feel for what the readers think. Not every comment or complaint will be implemented into the next issue, but they do listen to the concerns and if enough of them are made the magazine will be changed. However, they also have to appeal to the advertisers who pay for more of the cost of the magazine then the readers. Advertisers are kept to a minimum so the magazine doesn't become all ads like Wired or another all-ad magazine.”

Some boards are so stuffy and posts are so stinkin' PC and polite it makes me gag. Posts are always getting moved to the "appropriate" category. That really bugs me.
I post on other sites, but they are not as much FUN!

I think I'll become a troll and move to backpacker.com just because.

What does this mean? He was given prefered access? Your history of dealing with trolls seems nonexistent. Is there a posted policy on handling trolls or is it just an arbitrary thing?”
