My buddy is in the North woods bear hunting (his wife called my yesterday evening to say he'd dropped a bear. Its coat wasn't good for a rug - But we Will eat him).

I spent last week doing paperwork.

I'm not good at paperwork and perhaps if they hadn't pi$$ed me off when I had correction up to my waste (well, Spam, or Lumberzac's knees), I might still be a teacher (but that is another story - my only regret is that I can never walk out like that again, a hundred hours of correction and the Government Exmanation session a week away).

It will be a year June 6 and the insurance companies (disability salary, car payments, mortgage payments) are demanding more doctors' reports and since I'm not 'critical' I'm on a long waiting list unless I want to pay 1 000$ for a private psychiatrist. My family doctor is doing her best and I sent off a pile of 'bumf'.

I train at the gym three times a week with my buddy and decided to go alone (he'll be back later this evening). I took the wrong street in the city where the gym is and when I drove round to the gym the road was under construction. Going to the gym became a little too complicated and I returned - driving is soothing for me.

This is ridiculous I thought to myself - you might want to know that I (we - I'm surely not alone) live in fear of spending the rest of our lives in a room with fourteen cats and a collection of newspapers - and went to the computer centre and posted the thread 'Bear Spray' and went home to make lunch.

The flag was up on my mail box and there were letters from both insurance companies and my school board. Luckily (I'll spare you the details), my reading glasses were in my pocket for I just made it to the bathroom where I read the letters.

Turns out it was just notices of payment (car and mortgage) and the letter from the school board was a confirmation of their acceptance that I am totally and permanently dis-abled.

I now am going to send copies of the letter with a covering letter that I'll type as soon as I finish procrastinating here.

I don't know if they will accept the letter because they want confirmation from a specialist, but it might help.
