Need some help
I plan on buying a "good" tent when I get my tax money back and I just need some advise.. I have read the rave reviews of over a hundred tents in backpacker and I have even seen some in stores but I am not sold yet.
These are some factors I am considering:
1. Must weigh 4lbs or under.
2. Cost aroud 250.00 or under
3. Have a good ventilation..
4. Want a 2 person because I am rather clostorphoic(sp??)
Any advice will be appreciated.

Many more where those came from. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and type "tent" into the search box at the bottom of the page.

I think you'd probably be happy with a Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight 2. Small for a 2-person tent, but it's in your price range and close to your weight range.

I'll second the S.D. Clip Flash 2. You won't be disappointed.

I second the SD Clip2 given your criteria... it's a classic and a sure bet. I have an SD-3, it's easy to adjust the ventilation. Campmor has some 2001 models at a good price. The - 2 would be a bit of a pinch for 2 large people, but it's got a nice vestibule and would certainly be a very roomy solo tent even if you kept your gear inside.

If you don't mind paying less, I've got a '99 Clip Flashlight in excellent condition with footprint for $110 shipped.

Have you considered Hammock?
Don't know if you just haven't considered or don't even know about these, but they are great. A lot Bp's have coverted to these over the last couple of years. Look at Hennessey Hammocks.

I'll set it up this weekend and take some pictures, and send them to you. I've got the tent as well as the Bat Ray and Dana pack that I'm going to sell, and I'll need pics if I decide to put them on Ebay, which I will do if I don't sell them in the next week or so.

Campmor has the Clip 2 (2002 model) for $139.96. That's a great price on a great tent.

If you want a lot of head room, the Clip May not be for you. I know you said that you wanted to use it for solo, and it might be good for that, but that's partly why I'm selling mine, as my wife and I like to play cards, etc. on long nights, and only one person at a time can sit up in a Clip.

There comes a time when you need to decide between light weight and lots of room. You need to make a compromise somewhere. The Clip 2 provides plenty of room for a tall (43" from your @ss to your topknot) solo hiker at around 4lbs. The Clip 3 provides plenty of room for 2 large people at around 5lbs. The Clip 2 will leave you very comfortable solo, the Clip 3 will leave you very comfortable with a large companion. I own both tents and I know whereof I speak. BTW, the male chicken's tent is a good deal with the footprint if it's in the condition he says it is.

This GoLite Hex looks pretty badass. Haven't used one but their products have a good rep. Only drawback would seem you can't sleep in mated bags with your honey due to the center pole.

The clips a good tent and better bought used if it is seam sealed properly and cheaper.I'd also look at 'Tarp Tent'.The 'TT' is lighter and less enclosed. With the netting around the bottom you have a view but no bugs, less wind and less rain splash.

I have a 3lb now Eureka and it's ok except I bought it used and I figure from talking to the people that had it , it was used like 9yrs ago... so that's why it's hard to give up that light weight tent but I guess I could go up alittle... and if the clip 2 has that much room at the head I could handle that.

I got a SD Clip 2 and I like it a lot. Not free standing but so what. Just enough room for 1 person comfortable, two "good friends".
