A story told from my point of view
8:00 AM, Free23 and I pile into the car. We hit I-80 heading west, till we get just past fairfield. From here we turn onto highway 12, a short cut that will link up with highway 29( I wont bore you with the geological details) past napa, rutherford, and st. helena. The state park where we were to hike was just past the grissem state historic mill( still running). we pay the fee and park at Ritchey creek trailhead. the trail goes for about a half a mile along a buisly(I murdered this spelling) flowing along a oak/redwood forest, mushrooms and little pink wild flowers are abundant. we then link up with Redwood trail and go along it till we reach coyote peak trail, from here on its all up hill, no real good views along this stretch, too many trees. in like several miles of rapping around the peak we reach a very short spur trail to the summit, THANK GOD i was getting tired of hearing about her blisters because she decided not to wear her wool socks. we goback down the very steep spur trail and continue on the trail till it linked up with south fork trail(i hound hazel nuts here), wich linked up with redwood trail, wich we followed to the car.

picks will be up soon as i get my lazy arse to costco.

lovely trip report...
somehow, I detect an underlying tone...that you didn't enjoy the hike nor the company you kept.

You need an attitude adjustment.

***note to self, don't hike with stinkypoop, He's a miserable person***

stik... if i may say something to my defense i was only teasing free23. i so enjoy her company i am sorry if my report sounded like it had a tone.

from now on only free23 will post the trip reports she can tell a better story than i ever will.

oh and a word to free23, if my tripod straped to my daypack counts as a kitchen sink then i'll just leave it behind.

now everyone have a nice day
