“shosh, I think it would be better if you drove yourself. I don't know when I'll be able to leave work. As for the motel, we are all staying at the Best Western in Lee Vining...they should have rooms available. Look at spending about $60

“No. I don't have chains for that one. If I wrecked it due to some snow-related incident, I'd probably hang myself!!

“I'm back! What an adventure on the way home. State route 88 was closed due to avalanche clean-up past Kirkwood, so I had to go over on 50.

I had a great time everyone, hope to hike with you all soon!”

“It was fun - lots of purple, orange and yellow flowers along the way home between Lone Pine and Kramer Junction.

I'll post my pictures tonight or tomorrow.”

“How long did it take you to get home Hikin Mike? Shosh must have run into the same problem.”

“I got home at about 5:15. I stopped in Gardnerville, Nevada for lunch. The traffic on highway 50 leaving South Lake Tahoe was a nightmare!! I don't know if it's like that every weekend, but it was unbelievable.

Looked like Tahoe and vicinity got a few inches of new snow. I had rain here and there on my trip home.

Had a great time! My face matches my pack right now!”

“I didn’t have a big problem driving home. Traffic wasn’t so bad on 50. 80 was slow from Davis to 680. But I still did it in good time. Got home at 4:40 (stopped for 10 min for gas).
Can you pls send me an email when you’ll have the pics?”

“Glad you guys had a great time! We did too. The only people we saw after passing the Ski Resort were two people who parked their car next to us. Other than that, we had the whole area to ourselves. It was a great sunny day with a few clouds, a great picnic lunch, with great company! We used all day light. Ended our hike at 5:30. Went 11:30-5:30. Ended it off with a pizza and beer near Strawberry.”

“Who all went on this trip? Where did you end up going? I wish I had gone with y'all instead of my weekend at Lake Tahoe with a buncha whiners!! How about a trip report?”

“I'm working on pictures now - it was: Navi, Hikin Mike, Wind Walker, Elulofs, Tone, Shosh, and me. It was a great "road trip", but the wind sent us to our tents a little early in the evening on Saturday.”
