I can't post a picture because I'm a Double-Naught Spy and it would blow my cover...

OKAY... Last Verse!

'Twas on a Monday morning, just as me story runs
'Twas on a Monday morning, when first I heard the twins
It was on a Monday morning my grief I couldn't smother
As I listened to the squalling of the one thing and the other

Mush-a-whack-a-row-di-dow-now
Right-fol-di-daddy
Mush-a-whack-a-row-di-dow-now
Right-fol-di-dee

hmmmmmmm... well, I was just thinking... I can rip that PCI-to-SCSI card out of the PowerMac 7500 that's now a large paperweight and squeeze it into this equally moldy Dell 333... then hook up the scanner and see if it starts to smoke...

I also have to remember to cut a hole in the washtub so I can see where I'm going... !

I just wanted to say that I feel like the luckiest girl in the world today. OPIE has made my Valentines wonderful and our weekend hasn't even started yet. He'll be here in a few hours. I was surprised at work with a beautfiul arrangement of roses, tulips, tiger lillies, and carnations. It's soo pretty. We've also got a big weekend planned and I'll tell everyone about it after the weekend. Lots of surprises left!

Can't claim to be a great romantic, but I randomly (once or twice a year) have a nice arrangement of roses delivered to my wife at work.

She works Thurs noon - 9 p.m. and Friday 9 - 5 in a pharmacy. I have them delivered around 1 p.m. on Thursday and she leaves them there until after work Friday. It makes me look good because none of the girls she works with ever get flowers so they say good things about me. Customers make lots of nice comments also. I NEED ALL THE POINTS I CAN GET!

My wife likes red roses...any other kind of flower would not be as good.

What I used to do from time to time (and some of the guys might like to try this sometime) was stop on the way home and buy one red rose from a florist, one truffle (gourmet chocolate, boxed) from a candy store, and a nice card. It was something I could afford to do to thank her for taking up the slack while I was in graduate school. She seemed to like that.

I think doing these things without being prompted is important. It seems to mean more that way.

As a long time fan of Shelley and Wordsworth, how could be anything but a Romantic?

Turtle-dove of love, with an eye to the skys
cooin` and wooin`, for it`s lost love, it crys
coulda, woulda, shoulda been, but it`s not to be
a lonely dove lost it`s love and calls from a tree
another lonely dove wings in to take it`s place
he too has lost his true love, some other place
lost off to love now, the two of `em and no more reasons or why`s
a blind as a bat dove in love and a tree-toad justa froggin` her eyes
well, that`s how love goes, if given half a chance
turn a blind eye to why and may long live romance
