At some earlier time in their history, I think their road jerseys did read Brooklyn, but it was not in the script style these jerseys use.

Okay, so the Phlubs lost to the Rock-me's. But a gal in the upper deck snagged a foul ball on the fly. They presented her with a glove for making the play of the game.

Another foul ball bounced off the facing of the upper deck and hit some woman square on the head. The guy who eventually caught the ball gave it up to her. That was a neat thing to see.

Then they have the kissing cam. The camera has a heart vignette and they show all these couples who, when they see their mugs on the scoreboard, have to kiss. So they were all mugging it up for the cameras, and this one gal just put her hands out, palms down, like, "No way am I kissing you, you frog!"

So it was a fun night at the ballyard, and all for free. (Except for the $10 parking, the $15 for the program and media guide, and an arm and a leg for two beers. Jeez, three beers cost nearly as much as a case! And they don't even have a happy hour!

The other thing that drives me crazy is all the people who get up every other inning and make the entire row stand up so they can get out, and then they come back while the action is going on. I told one group that if they came back it would cost them a beer to let them back to their seats. They didn't return.”
