“You should have some experience in dealing with the public, and the ability to organize and run events of some size. That's a pretty responsible position with a lot of impact. The kicker for that position is staying focused on "Driving sales". Try to use that term in your interview.

“Nobody ever got rich working for REI. If it's money that your after you may be dissapointed. You can earn a good wage but don't expect a 60K/yr career.

We are a "pay on performance" company. You will get a performance revier at your first 6 month anniv, and 12 month, with a potentail pay increase both times. You will get a pay increase every year after that, unless you change positions.

Your manager has the discresion to give you a merrit increase at any time based on your performance.”

my business is doing very well. I plan on taking the money i make and buy gear. I'm just not sure how to ask for the right amount. I don't want to ask for too much but i also don't want to short sell myself.”

“BWD, received my member dividend, ballot to vote for the board of directors, financial statement, etc from REI in yesterday's mail. For a minute there I felt like the CEO and almost changed into a suit and tie.

The feeling quickly passed though when Weezr reminded me I still had to clean the upstairs toilets.”

“BWD, everything isn't final, but if all goes well we should be in SLC on May 25 - 26. Our house is sold and if all goes as planned we'll close on the 22nd. We've purchased a new Dodge 3/4 ton diesel and 33' fifth wheel. We'll be stopping in Bozeman to have a few minor problems repaired on the trailer and then it will be straight to Salt Lake. We'll be there until November and would very much like to have you show show me around the Wasatch Front if at all possible.

We'll be picking up a lap top this week, but unsure of what internet provider to go with, or when we'll even be up and running. I think we'll be staying @ the KOA in SLC. It's very close to the hospital where Malinda will be working.
