My Big, Fat, Scottish.....

“Instead of freezing my ass off this weekend in the 'Daks - I choose to hurl myself down a mountain side with toothpicks strapped to my feet - all was going well until....the last run of the day. It was brilliant - charging down the mountain at Mac 4 - dodging fallen snowboarders and small children - cutting side to side - skiis nice and parallel - really doing good - and then......right at the bottom of the run.....I got freaked out by some "jackass" who was breathing down my neck - this guy got right in my way and the next thing I knew...bang, boom, tumble, twist, smash! Oh man, the fall was beautiful! But....I now have my first skiing injury - a big, fat, upper lip!!! When I fell down my right ski pole smashed into my face - luckily just hitting my mouth - teeth are all okay - head is okay - but I now look like a freakin' parrot fish! LOL!!

I made the decision this weekend - after the incident - to get a helmet and goggles for when I ski - this injury was a mild one but I realize that it could have been worse if the pole had hit my eyes or my head had hit a....tree :(”
