Ok, it is finally open. I've been working since last fall to get an online outdoor bookstore open, and it is finally finished (ok, maybe not finished, but it works for now). The store carries all sorts of outdoor books (hiking, climbing, paddling, biking, etc) so check it out for anything you might be interested in. Spread the word, stand at the top of a mountain and shout "Eureka! I have found it!". Ok, that's a little over the top, but check it out anyways. http://www.lattaoutdoors.com

I thought of the name like Tilt did, "whole lotta stuff," plus a tie to latitude...

It's great. I looked for a conspicuous link, but only found the one in this string.

Then I searched Latta Outdoors for hiking trail maps of Apalachicola NF in Florida, but did not find any. And I so wanted to be the first customer!

Oh, I see it now. thebackpacker.com was just a cheap, seven(?) year ploy to get us to buy books.

Yeah, I see how you work, Matt. Just work really hard to create a website that everyone loves, spend countless hours of freetime fixing server crashes and moderating evil posters like Buddha Bear. And then have the gall to ask people to buy something to support it?

I mean, come on. In protest, I'd urge everyone to limit spending on this new site to $10,000 per year. That'll teach Matt.

Hey he has JMitch's book on his site! I already ordered it from Amazon because I had a credit from Christmas to use, and I couldn't wait for the booksigning, although I will go to one of those too when we find out about one. Great site, Matt!
