A friend of my mother had a white 1970 Coupe De Ville convertible, big as a house. She called it "Snowflake"... or "Snow" for short.

We called it Moby Dick.

nooooo! - I had Monday off anyway, but much of yesterday was spent on a chilly metro platform then covering for people living out in the burbs who were too lazy to make it in

You guys need to stay away from Canada, up here everyone has a shovel in the car. We don't even know what a 'good side of the street' means. We have had very little snow this year, however, and your storm missed us completely. Luckily, it's only a short drive to the Adirondack Park for me.

yeah, if i had been in town, i would have had to come in yesterday. i can walk to the metro, so i would really have no excuse! instead, i got to spend 4 solid days drinking beer, playing cards, walking in the snow, watching TV and smoking crack! wholesome good fun like that. who else needs a beer right now?

yeah, it's in Southern MD, Maple! fun times, indeed! how long have you lived here, ynami? i'm a total idiot at getting around, too. hey, we have a Trader Joe's right near our apartment! i love that place sooooo much. i'm going to name my firstborn child Trader Joe. LOL!

I've lived here just over a year, It's the strip malls that really fox me, they just all look the same to me wherever I go. And interesctions. I have trouble with those too ;-) . Yeah - I love Trader Joe, also Wholefoods, though there it always amazes me how one small basket of food can cost me $120.

Good thing you didn't live near a Hooters, lyra!

You guys got all our snow! It's dry and clear here. It's supposed to be 50 today and all the snow's gone. There's a lot in the mountains tho.

LMAO!! we live like a block away from Hooter's, Aero! :-D

MD kicks VA's ass, ynami...serious. i've lived in VA for almost all my life, and now that i've made the switch, i'll never go back.

the only thing wrong with Tarpy's butt is that it prolly has bedsores on it from being such a lazy-ass all weekend. LOL! i think we made the crack wrong though, because it didn't do much. such is life.

well, the newest baby went with us, Maple, and the oldest monkey stayed home with the rest of them. she's nocturnal, though, and the rest of them aren't, so i don't know how well that worked out... LOL!

did you get to stay home yesterday, Maple?

Rats! I wish we could get a snow day! It could snow three feet here and people chain up their trucks and go to work! If they cancelled school all the kids would drive up to the ski slopes.

lyra, you really have a Hooters in your neighborhood? You lucky! We don't have one in the whole state!

lol lyra, well, yes, essentially. I was supposed to go on the Sipsey cleanup this weekend, but didn't because of thunderstorms and a kitchen mishap. So, because I was home, I got to do all sorts of stuff for other people. At one point on Monday (a holiday for me) I looked at my wife and said "I wish I had just gone to work today. It would have been a lot less stressful." Plus now, I'm coming down with the cold that my son and wife have. Blegh.

Walkin' 'Round In Women's Underwear

Lacy things - the wife is missin'
Didn't ask - for her permission
I'm wearin' her clothes,
Her silk pan-ty hose,
Walkin' round in women's underwear

In the store - there's a teddy
With little straps - like spaghetti
It holds me so tight
Like handcuffs at night
Walking' round in women's underwear

In the office there's a guy named Melvin
He pretends that I am Murphy Brown
He'll say "are you ready?" We'll say "Whoa, Man!"
"Let's wait until the wife is out of town!"

Later on, if you wanna,
We can dress - like Madonna
Put on some eyeshade
And join the parade
Walkin' round in women's underwear

Lacy things... Missin'
Didn't ask ... Permission
Wearin' her clothes
Silk panty hose
Walkin' round in women's underwear
Walkin' round in women's underwear
Walkin' round in women's underwear
