Snowed In
Okay, so my weekend started out with some skiing- Twinks and I wussed out of the FYAO trip because of the cold and decided to head to Windham instead, where we flew down the green trails like fools until some moron caused her to fall and hit herself in the face with a ski pole. This left her with a fat lip, so we decided to call it a night and head back to the city. On Monday, I decided to head back out to the boondocks of queens, only to find that my gay blue car had been snowed in- After a few minutes of trying to dig it out myself, Twinks came out to give me a hand. The whole thing was futile, since every half hour or so a snow plow would come roaring down the street and fill in everything we had cleared out. Twinks suggested we give it up and go play in the park, which we did- The two of us climbed to the top of a hill there and did the butt slide down a few times, which was really cool. We saw two dogs walking each other- Their owner had gotten tired of holding their leashes, and had simply tied the two of them together and let them go. We headed back to the car after a while, and saw a couple skiing past us on the road, which was another indicator to us that the snow had gotten too ridiculous for us to tackle that day- I was snowed in for the night, deciding instead to tackle it in the morning. I resumed the big dig at about nine thirty this morning, and only recently made it home to queens. Here's some pics of the ski trip, and of the blizzard in the city- My Pics
Enjoy!

Have you warned Twinks that hanging around with you could result in serious injury?

Nice work Corp! Too bad I missed ya, maybe we'll meet someday soon.

BTW - Have you gotten any strange looks from folks when you are walking around with T-Toes? I'm sure some gave you that "he must have hit her" look.

Anyway - peace-out.

Nice pics Corp!

It's amazing what people will assume when a woman has a bruise on her. My wife got a black eye from my son a couple of months ago. They were hugging, and he jumped the way that 4yrolds will do, and smacked her right in the eye with his head. Of course, she got a nice shiner from that. For about a week, well-meaning people kept pulling her aside to let her know she had "options".

One of my x-gf's was hit below the eye by a peice of debris on a roller coaster ride. She had a huge shiner, and I got the dirtiest looks the rest of the day from just about everyone at the amusement park. It sucked!

Yes, no kidding it sucks, BB. I guess there's not much you can do about it though. People are now accustomed to believing that any mark on a woman was put there by her husband or boyfriend. In this case, it was my son, but he didn't mean to!

Well, yes it is tango, but it's the unspoken assumption (by them) that I'm a wife-beater that pisses me off. Some of these people didn't even bother to ask how she got it, they just assumed I smacked her and left it at that.

Yeah, we got some looks- We shoulda had some fun with it, like at the bar afterwards when it was still bloody, every time I went for my drink, she could have flinched and whimpered, but to tell the truth Twinkle is not someone I would ever want to meet in a dark alley- She might look like a beautiful redhead, but she managed to knock me into the snow and give me a facewash over the weekend. BB- Sorry I missed ya on FYAO, I have to wait till the weather gets warmer for another trip like that- My gear's just not up to it.

Jez, Twinkle just has bad luck. I have a story similar to Buddha's only I was the one with a shiner. Everyone was looking at me like..that wuss, his girlfriend kicked his a$$.

LOL @ Bit!
No Geo, she knocked me into the snow- It would have been too hard to find some flat sidewalk under all that stuff.

Misery?
What misery? Did I miss somethign? Gotta cut back on the booze. Yeah, that's it.

BTW, I've nevr been to NYC - which is wierd. I've spent a lot of time in the States and have been to most of the cities in the East and Southeast, but not NYC.

Ous high school seniors whom I teach travel to New York every spring for a cultural visit, but it's during my rugby season, both at school and at my senior club and I just can's get away.

Apparently there has been some noise from parents about the possibility of a terrorist attack and they're wondering if they'll let their kids go. Any input on that?
