I love mangoes, and used to have a cat who'd sit alongside and eat them with me. That cat was the greatest.

mango leather is prime trail food!!!
yes... we had no bananas..

mango slicing ritual
don't peel it.....
you slice the fruit off as close to the seed as you can on both the flat sides, then you slice around the edge, you eat the mango out of the skin so the juice drips down your chin, you lick your lips. then, the slicer gets to suck the luscious fruit left on the seed so you dont waste one precious drop of the fruit and nectar~~~~~~~suck...don't bite, that way you will not get strings in your teeth~~~~~
aummmmmmmm~~~
sometimes the slicer can give the seed away to someone else to suck if they feel generous~~~
who sucked the seed in ocala?..i fergot

Nothing can compare to tree ripened mangos. My wife grew up in Puerto Rico and when I visited there, there was a huge tree down the road from her mom’s house dropping fruit all over the place. We’d stop every day and take basketfulls. Man, were they good (and free)! The supermarket variety just can’t compare.

yum yum mango milk shakes..I eat them by cutting them in half, remove seed (duh) and make cross-hatch slices into the fruit without breaking the skin..then, push skin out and you have a nice set of little squares just waiting to be sucked off..
