It's Spring on the Gulf Coast!
Saturday morning I went out to my truck and found a fresh coating of yellow pine pollen covering it.
Spring is here!

I threw a softball around with my daughter yesterday.
Pitchers and catchers have reported, at least in my neighborhood!

Is that normal, StoveStomper, or early?

My wife and I are already becoming miserable with our allergies. If it continues to worsen, I won't be able to make the Sipsey trip.

yay-o-rama! doesn't 50 degrees in February feel completely different from 50 degrees in October? in the fall, it feels like death, and in the spring it feels like the opposite!

45 degrees here and the dog poop is starting to thaw out in the backyard. Time to get busy!

THe pine pollen came out last wekend here. My car is yellow now. This is about the normal time for it. Pine pollen rarely causes allergies because the granules are so big. The oaks that are pollinating at the same time are the culprits.

aero

Yah, whatever it is that pollinates at the same time as the pines is what gives me problems. I'm sneezing like crazy even just sitting at my desk.

Time to go on the allergy meds...

Water oaks here are pollenating. THe live oaks get going next month, then Laurel oaks, etc.

Pine pollen is one thing I certainly don't miss by not living in the South any more. Now, let's keep hoping that winter up here will last at least another month. I've got lots more skiing to do!

I'm one of those rair persons that pine pollen causes allergies too.
I had the checkerboard test done on my back and pine pollen was one of the main allergies I have.
Aren't I lucky? ;-)

My nose is half stopped up now and will be worse in a couple of weeks.
