What does that mean?

my montrail torres have a half steel shank in them and the crampons say a full steel shank.

will these work together?

I own them.....

....the fit well..

..in between my hiking boots and running shoes.


Haven't used them yet. Ask Amy G or Corperal Nasty. They have them.

Never mind, now that they link works I own a different moddle.

I believe a strong sole would be needed for crampons like that. Those have lots of flex, mine are very ridged so a soft boot is fine.

Those crampons have step-in bindings and can only be used with boots designed for such bindings. Also, step-in bindings will pop off a boot thet is not rigid enough. They are probably on special because people don't use them any more because of pop-off problems. The most popular bindings now are hybrid with a front strap system of some kind and a step-in heel piece.
