A whole year?

“Who could believe i'd last a year in this... place?

I still get as much crap now as I did then, and some how, for some reason i'm still here... sure when i first came i was just seeking some advice, and never thought i'd fall into the pit of TT but ever since then it's been my life. I've barely gone a day without visiting, just to see what's up anyway.

TT has been my source of news and my source of entertainment. I've learned some basic html, a lot about backpacking, been accused of being several trolls - and I tell you I have never trolled on TT - I had a great time meeting everyone at TC2 and look forward to many more wonderful backpacking trips in years to come.

One year ago today I caught a glimpse of the land of trail talkers - since then it's been my life, i've been blinded by the light of tt. This really is a great place - ya learn to love it, and it's sure not for everyone, but here I am, ya haven't scared me away yet.”

“hey - do u remember when I was leaving? I have to wait for forest to get old enough, I have to wait for the snow to melt in this part of the country, and Forest has to finish his obedience training - i'm leaving in early to mid April, still no real set date, i've been training every day 5-8 miles, gettin in shape, and gettin ready. don't give up on me yet :)”

“Original inspiration for my journey came from that book. I'm not doing a 'walk across america' because he did it, but he gave me some ideas of what to expect and how to prepare for a journey similar to his. It was a great book and I enjoyed reading it, maybe someday I'll be able to write a similar book - I know I'll have many pictures to show.”
