Spring Fever

I think once you get your septic system redug and about twice as deep (or wherever the freeze line stops) you could flush a bottle of that stuff down the can to get things going.”

“You're welcome, Solitary Hiker. TB, the depth isn't the issue and ecotabs are also not the solution (since the tank being full is not a problem). It's a combination of an unusually cold winter and a lack of snow (at least until recently). We've had -30f without the windchill and no insulating snow. Everyone is freezing up. Next year I will mulch the entire drainfield and cover it with black plastic before it snows. There will not be a repeat (lack of) performance. Eventually spring will get here and everything will thaw.”

“My brother emailed me a picture of a flower blooming in his yard, i hated him for a minute. I've got minus 15 and blowing snow at my house right now.

Almost makes me wish for alergies, at least then I can go for a walk and not worry about frostbite.

I have met some of the most talented backpackers here and met many who are just beginning with open arms loving this thing we call Backpacking. I haven't been around long, actually just a few years and wondered where all those people went i first met,

There are some who post a few then go away for months and you know who they are.
I love this site and love all those whom I have met , I have never held anything against anyone even if we had words I never keep anger with me, it is worthless.
Lets get Spring Fever harnesed and get on a trail and do what I believe brought us to this site. BACKPACKING.
I know there are some who do not backpack but love the trip reports and pictures and I often wondered why they never Backpacked so I met one of those Tter's one day at a car camping trip and I was so ashamed of my thinking. There are some here who are disabled and cannot backpack but there love is no different then the ones who can get out there. One day i may be in a wheel chair setting at a computer reading posts and trip reports looking at pics dreaming and living as all those who can do it. So WE ALL are Trail talkers regardless of experience and lack there of.....Please lets keep this site the BEST and try and get along.
