“This happened along the Oregon coast about a dozen years ago. Enough people walked the beaches so when they found a stray shoe or two, they would put them on their fence or mailbox. If you wandered by and had the other half of a pair, you were welcome to take the shoe you needed. I don't think there will be that many people walking the beaches of Alaska.”
