Nothing wrong w Garcia
The Garcia works as advertised, as many attest to, in fact you may be able to pick a used one up from some of those that have switched to a Bearicade (Windwalker???).

I have a couple Ursacks I bought a couple years ago when they were "conditionally" approved by NPS (since then this was revoked). I think they're great for protecting your food from rodents, etc., especially in some areas where there may not be many trees to choose from for hanging your food. Still use mine sometimes.

If I were going to Alaska I wouldn't trust my food to an Ursack though...

Nothing wrong with the Garcia Cans they work great. They are just a bit on the heavy side, that's all.

I have two sons and a nephew that backpack with me sometmes....so I'm keeping my Garcias too :)

You can get moe food into the bearicade. Its waterproof. You can set a stove on it. U can set on it. I have had both and BEST hands down buy it once. 2 cent

Bearikade
I shopped around and settled on the Bearikade. I have two of the smaller size (2/3 of the time I only need 1). For only a pound I like the "security" of my food and have replaced my thermarest chair kit. So all in all I save about a 1/2 in the deal.

What sold me over the garcia was the size/weight benefit. Yep the price is high so I asked my wife to get them as a Christmas gift.
