Holy Crap!!!
She got into it big time with Brian Kilmeade just now regarding war with Iraq! That was the most entertaining thing I've seen in quite some time, it was reeeeeeally heated.

I hope they post a transcript.

Jeneane's an idiot.

She's an idiot? Why, because her opinion differs from yours? "You're against the war, so you don't support our troops!" Gimme a break. Personally, I think Garofalo is more rational and lucid than 99 percent of the party-line-toeing Washington stuffed shirts you see on the evening news.

Okay, the idiot comment was perhaps a bit harsh. But I just don't think she's the best spokesperson for the antiwar movement. I can't name any names, but I've seen others on air make a better arguement for not going to war on Iraq. I kinda get the sense that she's in over her head, IMO.

you'd like to WHAT?? you think she's hot?
i saw her talking about the war, but not on Fox & Friends. i don't blame her for saying what she thinks...if anyone would listen to me on TV, i'd say War Blows or something like that, too. LOL!

She IS hot. I think she is damn cute and I like her movies but as The Iconoclast pointed out......... quote......

But what is with Hollywood's cerebrally-challenged celebrity set lately? What is it that makes them think they know so much more about international geopolitics than Colin Powell or Donald Rumsfeld? Have they been so taken with the hollow Entertainment Tonight-style adulation and praise heaped their way for their sequins, hair styles, boob jobs, cool clothing and screwed-up love life that it's gone to their head and they really do see themselves standing larger-than-life on the stage of life, eminently qualified to pontificate on the issues of the day?

Probably. But of course it's our duty to ask: Where is it written that an over familiarity with cosmetic surgery, botox, exercise bikes and recreational drugs, not to mention the desperate need for an immediate brain transplant when no writers are available to script your words, qualifies any second-rate actor or actress to second guess the president of the United States, his secretary of state or his national security adviser?

Hubris, thy name is Hollywood!

Well said StoveStomper! However, Garafolo dosen't exactly fit the typical Hollywood mold. She's notorious for going against the grain of the Hollywood lifestyle, and seems much more well grounded than most Hollywood types. She comes across as very down to earth, and these factors make her an ideal candidate as a sort of spokesperson for Hollywood.

However, having said that, I think Stovestomper is right about, what makes her more in the know about international politics?!

I think the evidence that Colin Powell or Donald Rumsfeld are geniuses of international geopolitics is pretty thin also, LOL

Perhaps it's because they're so busy with damage control every time Bush opens his mouth, <G>. They're on the phones all the time with, "Noooo, he didn't Really mean that. He just said that to keep X and Y in line...."

Interesting point, newgirl. I think Janeane kind of fits the mold of "unconventional beauty". While not looking like a model, Pamela Anderson, or what is commonly defined as attractive for a female, there is still something about her that you can't quite put your finger on that makes her irrestitable. Arguably, some better examples might be her fellow actresses Amy Smart, Nev Campbell, and Fairuza Balk. I, personally, find the "unconventional beauty" to be the highest form of physical attraction in women. I think a good portion of other males feel the same way.

Sorry if I seem somewhat well versed on this.. a good friend and I just recently had an in-depth discussion on this.
