Backpacking/Hiking “Anyone know if there is one? If there is not, maybe there should be one. Hundreds of channels on cable and satellite with topics like food and home and garden. What about hiking and backpacking?” 9:22:03 PM 2/25/03 “yeah, let's have a TT show on TV. I bet it would get some high ratings.” 9:24:55 PM 2/25/03 “i think the closest thing to a backpacking channel that there is is the travel channel” 9:25:02 PM 2/25/03 “Outdoor Life Network has backpacking programs. They used to have more, but in the last year there hasn't been as many.” 9:30:04 PM 2/25/03 “I think it would be a great idea if you could mount a cam corder on your pack as you hike. Live 24 hour backpacking Tv. Or what I like to do go backpacking every weekend and then you don't need a tv show. 8P” 9:37:14 PM 2/25/03 “CMB- the snow couple already have that dont they... :P” 12:19:24 AM 2/26/03 “A TV channel about a topic and activity that takes the target audience miles away from electricity, hmmmmm.” 3:26:41 AM 2/26/03 Smurfs got it “I agree with Smurf. The Travel channel has some of the best backpacking footage I have seen. It's just that you have to check in all the time to catch it. One of the best i've seen was "Ups and downs in New Zealand". You could always buy "The Blair Witch Project". Lol” 3:33:50 AM 2/26/03 “Buddha Bear could host the channel's late night show. :-)” 5:28:40 AM 2/26/03 “I think it is always best to just go out and hit the trail and hike! No tv show for you!!!!! 8P” 6:23:14 AM 2/26/03 “yes its called THE WEATHER CHANNEL” 6:58:12 AM 2/26/03 “Backpacking TV..........armchair backpackers?” 6:58:27 AM 2/26/03
