Judge finds new use for duct tape
The Associated Press
LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A Texas judge ordered a defendant's mouth to be taped shut after the man kept interrupting his lawyer and the judge during an aggravated assault trial.

For about 20 minutes Tuesday, Carl Wiley, 36, ignored pleas from state District Judge Jim Bob Darnell and his own mother to keep quiet during a hearing outside the jury's presence.

Finally, Darnell ordered bailiffs to seal Wiley's mouth with duct tape.

"He was being very disruptive and he was trying to fire his second court-appointed attorney, and I informed him that when the attorney is appointed by the court, only the court can fire the attorney," Darnell said.

"Mr. Wiley continued to interrupt him," Darnell said, referring to attorney Steve Hamilton, "so the court duct-taped his mouth until the jury came in. Then I had him removed from the courtroom."

Hamilton declined to comment on the incident or on his client's conviction later Tuesday for ramming his vehicle into his estranged wife's car. She was not injured.

No sentencing date has been set.

I would have asked for a ten minute recess, taken him outside the court room and kicked his ass.

I guess the judge was more tolerant than I would have been.

You have the right to remain silent
You have the right to an attorney
Anything you say, may be muffled by ductape

Just peel the duct tape off slowly.

Tom, I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.

What we need is some virtual ducttape for all these useless political "discussions".

If the bailiff is going to ducttape someone's "peepee", then why would you think that same ducttape is gonna end up on TT mouth? So what are you trying to say? ;)

Ductape Will Fix Anything!
New study showed that systematically applying and removing a piece of duct tape cured the common wart in 80 percent of subjects. This compares to a 60 percent success rate for the freeze method. No #&%!$e, this is for real it was in the latest National Geographic. Ductape will fix anything :)

If it moves and shouldn't, duck it. If it doesn't move and should, WD-40 it.

All hjoking aside and believe me or not, the first spittle of the morning (after waking uo) rubbed on a wart will get rid of it in a few days.

This, of course, does not work with plantar warts.

Nothing medical has ever worked on warts in my experience except the spit and, in the case of plantar warts, a sterilised kinfe blade (drives ex-wiver crazy when the blood spurts).

I was in Wisconsin last weekend. On NPR there is a program something like ask the doctor. One of the callers talked about putting duct tape on warts, 24/7 for three months. As I recall, as a kid the warts would disappear in that time.

I had plantar warts on my big toe for a long time and it was the duct tape that finally got rid of them. Once I stopped wearing the tape they just dried up and fell off.

Duct tape on a wart doesn't necessarily work. Years ago I tried it on my wife. Eventually she disappeared but it seemed to be the wart that continued hanging around...maybe I should have had some type of tissue analysis done on it just to make sure.

duct tape...
yourself to your significant other. I can't go into details, because the sponsors say I can't, but try it...you'll see.

When I was a Kid, about 11 years old, my feet hurt all of the time. My mom took me to the doctor. The pads of my toes and feet were infested with plantar warts. They cut them all off and it took about four months before I could walk normally again!
