I'm sure A Davis will try to find room for him, in his collection ;-)

Has Emmett said if he'll retire? I haven't seen the story yet

Emmitt hinted very strongly that he's not done yet.

We're pretty stacket at running back and way over the salary cap, but you gotaa know Davis is drooling at the thought, down there in Oakland.

I think Jones kept around this past year just so he could break the record as a Cowboy.

An ESPN anaylst said the Bucs were presently the most likely team to pick up Emmitt. I'm not sure if I like that idea or not, not that I'm particulary happy with Pittman.

I'm surprised the Vikings didn't try to trade the whole team for him, like they did with Herscel.

Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes, I wonder if the Jags will try to get him. Talk about needing all they can get!

Treebait, what's up with Fred Taylor? You think they'd want to replace him? He does get hurt a lot, but when he plays, he's awesome.

Love to see him as an Eagle, but I doubt they'd go after him because of the celery cap.

God forbid one has too much celery on their team. ;-)

Here's the short story from Yahoo
Emmitt Smith will not be a Cowboy in 2003. Jerry Jones announced Smith's release during a long-anticipated press conference on Thursday. The NFL's all-time leading rusher will still count $4.9 million against next season's salary cap -- down from $9.8 million if Dallas had kept him. Smith said he doesn't plan to retire

If he wants to stay in the area, more or less, he could end up at Houston
