“Have you checked out the band, Audioslave? I know you're a huuuuuuuge Pink Floyd fan, and a lot of the reviews for Audioslave's self-titled debut album compare them to Floyd. Can't vouch for that, but thought of you when I read that.

Anyway, dude, rockin' great awesome band. This album has been controlling my life, I can't stop listening to it. Audioslave is the singer from Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, with all of the original band members of Rage Against the Machine, minus Zach de la Rocha. Elements of both bands are present, but there's some very unique, original sounds there. Damn good stuff, give it a listen!”

“Yep. I got laid off work, so I'm heading down to Florida for a bit. Long story, but I'm excited about it. Maine is still on my radar.”

“oooooooooohhhhhhhh. I didn't know the fall schedule is out. I'm going to have to check that out. No, no summer couirses, nothing fits the schedule but I want to take at least one in the fall.

Conservation Biology is going fab. I really like Dr Whidden, he's a good prof. he puts out a heck of a class requirement though......no idle time here.

I still have a research paper to do, we just took midterms, I have a critique a week due till the end of the semester, one of which I have to do a presentation on in 3 weeks.........procratinating on that one as usual.

“As far as the Dak's trip goes I think I won't be able to make it. My wife is booked every weekend in August except for the one after it. That is why I signed up for the high peaks trip. If things change however I will also go up with you guys and stay up there the whole week.”

“I haven’t seen you post much lately but I assume you’re lurking.

I’m having a bear of a time trying to find someone to make newell posts (out of cedar) to match the ones on my front porch. They are a pretty simple turning with a ball top. The top screws off so the post itself is about 48” long. I called every millwork place within 25 miles of me and can’t find anyone with a lathe that large. Do you know of anyone?

I have one that can be copied and can’t imagine it would cost too much to ship it UPS so it wouldn’t have to be local (NJ).
