Ahhh Sweet Spring

“Just 20 days away!”

“I know! I already have my tomato plants in the ground :)”

“Great, I'll tell Psycho Squirrel and he'll be on his way out there in no time, because he's gonna have a long wait for tomatoes back here!”

“Ohboy! Allergies and flash flooding! WOOHOO!”

“How does Batman know it's Spring... ?”

“I'll just be glad when it stops snowing...”

“My Mom's neighborhood is overrun with robins "thinking" about heading north. They showed up 2 weeks ago and haven't left yet. All the yards are torn up from the birds rooting out grubs and worms.”

“Let me be the first to wish "Happy Spring" even though it's two days away. I was checking the forecast for my area and there's 12:03 of daylight here now. (course the freakin' snow on the ground kinda makes ya forget... lol... SNOW BE GONE!!)

Now back to enjoying the fact that spring is here.”

“Oh yeah. Woke up to the birds singing again today. I think it's officially sprung!”

“I thought it was monday? It's surely not today that's for sure. 25 degrees this morning. BRRR!”

“Shorts weather here. Very nice. All the windows are open for the breeze.”

“The male goldfinch at my thistle feeder is losing his brown feathers and the bright yellow feathers are emerging. Spring is coming!!!”

“I've got irisis popping up and my gras is getting a green tinge to it. !!!!!!!!!!”

“Awww, well I wish the snow here would freakin' disappear!!! lol”

“Spring is coming? It's supposed to snow all day and all night here.”

“Twelve hours of daylight tomorrow for all!

I planted 100 tulip bulbs last fall. It took all day and I bloodied my knuckles with the dumb tool. It's all worth it now as I see all the foliage from them coming up. Can't wait to see which will be what color (was one of those mystery bags of mixed).”

“Most of the oaks around here ahve already flushed out in new growth; all the live oaks are still shedding their leaves all over the place. I park under a laurel oak that's alternately dropping pollen and caterpillar poop on my blue/black car. Fun.
I tried planting a second round of english peas; they're actually coming up now. All the tradescantia (spiderwort) is abloom; gorgeous! My lemon and lime trees are in full bloom too. So's the red buckeye.”

“The skunks are coming out and commiting suicide on the roads it has to be spring.”

“Phew. That's something I don't miss about living further north. On the flipside we have armadillos, whose defensive maneuver when approached by a fast moving object (like a car) is to jump straight up in the air. Doesn't work to well.”

“Anybody think it's spring? I'll just come visit you - everywhere I go it gets cold and rainy!! Moohahahahahah!!!!”

“It's already cold here. The muds starting to dry up though so stay away! ;)”

“I was working in the field yesterday and it sure didn't feel like spring where I was. It was snowing with at lest 12" of snow still on the ground and temperatures never got above 25*F all day.”
