"Is Patton Cave in the Charles Deam marked? I don't think it is. Could you give me some general directions to find Patton Cave? Do you know of any other cool places caves rock formations etc to check out off the trail in the Deam. I plan to do some bushwacking there in March."”

“hey i know i said id be in my tarptent, but i havent had a chance to seam-seal it so i may be in my hilleberg or pebble. tuesday i noticed i didnt have the right kind of sealer. needs silicone-based. its mcnett seam-grip, made from urethane. is that the same as silicone-based? theres a chance of rain today, and i wont be home tomorrow, so it probably won't get done this week, unless i do it when i get to camp (if the skies look clear) and then sleep in the other tent.
anyway, theres another campsite a couple hundred yards(?) beyond that very first one right at the trailhead. look for me there if im not at the first site.
